How are boats organised?
For our Classic Thames tours three types of boat are available; a large or a small classic Rowing boat or Skiff, and a Canadian style canoe. We arrange the boats once we know who is coming on each tour, and what their preferences are.
We must have a minimum of two people per boat for a smaller Skiff; one person sculling and one person steering, and both paddling in the case of a Canadian canoe. For larger Skiffs we require a minimum of three; two people rowing and one person steering.
This means that if you are travelling alone, we will arrange someone to share your boat. Alternatively you may share a boat with a guide.
It is possible to get four adults in a smaller Skiff. We can swap people around on a tour if required.
