An Overview

The Oxford Thames Classic Rowing tour follows the young Thames as it winds through the Cotswolds to the beautiful University City of Oxford. 3 days will give us plenty of time to enjoy the scenery, take picnics, and visit the historical places on the way.

Starting in Lechlade-on-Thames, we’ll stop near the beautiful village of Buscot, close to Buscot Park and Kelmscott, with its historical Manor House (former home of William Morris).

Leaving Lechlade on Monday, we pass through pretty, quiet and unspoilt countryside, and arrive in Oxford on Wednesday afternoon. As we arrive in Oxford we pass the spot where the author of Alice in Wonderland and the real Alice had the picnic which inspired the famous story.
